Agritourism
Most of the VHS hosts are also farmers. They can take you to their farm, let you experience farming activities such as ploughing with buffalo in rice field, collecting paddy rice, picking tea tree leaves etc. A lot of great fun.
Charity / Aid Tourism
During your stay, you can ask for visits to schools and villages in more difficult areas to donate your old items (clothes, toys, books...), to give communities a hand in their community works like cleanup events, small constructions, artworks for schools etc.
Sports Tourism
Sports and cultural events organized in communities are the most emerging tourism trends to promote local tourism development. The VHS network has partnered with Vietnam Trail Series for years in providing with community-based accommodation services.
