Know the landlord

My name is Chao May Kieu, living in Taphin Village, Sapa.  We would like to welcome you into our homestay so you can learn about the culture from my 3-generations-extended family of Red Dao Hill tribe people. We were farmer and sold handicrafts. A  Canadian friend had stayed with us for 2 years and trained me to run a homestay in Vietnam, particulary in Sapa, so that we can generate income for our children future. I can speak English and work as a local trekking guide.

About the homestay:

We rebuilt a large new homestay following traditional Dao architecture in 2011 that were ready for our first homestay in Sapa since mid-April 2012. It has 3 private rooms for our homestay guest and can accommodate to 10 people. We also renovated a wooden herbal bath tub for our guests in 2014.There is a big garden with orchid and vegetable, a quiet and green place for you sit back, read a book or just take in the view or even enjoy BBQ with your family outside

We can pick you up from Sapa town or Lao Cai station and also provide all of your meals during your stay if requested.

Ta Phin Village near Sapa is widely known, not only for its natural beauty, attractive caves, and colorful brocades and traditional culture, but also for its specialty medicinal baths by the Red Dao ethnic minority, based on ancient remedies handed down over the generations. Our homestay is a perfect base for exploring the villages in Sapa and enjoying the nature without disrespect of the natural environment and local village life.
