Hoi An – a magical place at any time.

Hoi An earned UNESCO recognition since as early as 1999. With its unique architecture as well as historical and cultural value, Hoi An is one of the must-see in Vietnam. Being home of pagodas, temples and the ancient homes that bears it unique mark.

During the full moon night, electricity is shut off and the streets are closed to traffic, transforming the old town into a magical flickering of candles and silk lanterns.

Traditionally the night of the full moon is the time for Vietnamese to honor their ancestors by offering fruit and flowers at family altars. Incense and fake money is burned in houses and businesses too in exchange for good luck and prosperity.

Whole ancient town will be lighted by the lanterns. In the magical atmosphere, people go back to their childhood.

Below is the calendar for Full Moon Night Festival in Hoi An Town. There are 13 lantern festival nights in 2017.
